Why can't I delete/alter a rink request?

The rink booking system is only one way. You make a request and that request will be authorised by the Club Representative.
The Rink Steward will check the application and will either authorise or reject it.
It will be rejected if the the application does not comply with the Club Rules.
If it is rejected and you have registered your email address, you will be sent an email.
Or, if you have not registered your email, then the Rink Steward will contact you by telephone.
After you have requested a rink and to give the Rink Steward time to process your request.
Please wait for at least two days, if you have not received an email by then, or your requested booking does not show on the system
then contact the Club Rink Steward. (Telephone numbers or email to be agreed)

How does the system work and who wrote it?

The rink booking system was adapted from
Meeting Room Booking System which is an open source software that is distributed under the Gnu Public License(GPL).
This means that software is free to use, distribute, and modify.

It was modified for Egham Bowls Club by Dave Brodley. It was modified for Camberley & District Indoor Bowling Club by Richard Barnett.

The system is written mostly in PHP, which is an open source programming language that can be embedded in web pages, similar in concept to Microsoft active server pages.
PHP is especially good at accessing and manipulating databases.
PHP returns a HTML web page to the user, so they do not see the PHP code.

The database used for the system is MySQL MySQL is a very fast, multi-threaded, multi-user and robust SQL (Structured Query Language) database server that is also GPL.
